About Us

  AAPS-MAD Mission Statement

To Honor, Preserve the memories of, and Remember Those Who Protected Our Freedom!

We HONOR the men and women who gave of themselves during the war. Had it not been for their sacrifices, we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms we know today.

We PRESERVE the memorabilia of the WWII era and the memories of those who lived it.

We REMEMBER and pass along information and experiences from these honored few, ensuring that their history does not fade after their passing!

We will NOT let the world forget their sacrifices!

We are the last generation who can say "I spoke with a WWII veteran!"

Our Story

The Allied Airmen's Preservation Society, Mid- Atlantic district was formed in 2013 and we are a registered 501c3 (non-profit) organization.

Both male and female members, ranging in ages from young adult to WWII veterans, participate in activities at numerous air shows, living history events, parades and Honor Flights throughout the eastern United States.

We have participated in wreath-laying ceremonies commemorating VE Day and VJ Day at the National WWII Memorial in Washington, DC. We have been invited to participate in ceremonies commemorating the anniversary on the attack on Pearl Harbor at the National WWII Memorial and at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

At many events we set up historically correct campsites and recreate the daily lives of men and women who lived and fought in those settings during the war. We are also available to attend special programs at your request.
